There are many diet methods available, low cholesterol diet is one of them. Other than that, there are diets which exclude carbohydrate and fat from their diet menu. While last two diet programs are intended for people who want to lose weight, low cholesterol diet is intended for people who want to prevent heart attack disease.
As we know, cholesterol is the main reason of heart attack and stroke, two of biggest killer medical conditions in the world. People who have high cholesterol level are very fragile of having heart attack and stroke. When they do, their lives usually won’t be the same. It is very rare that people who suffer from heart attack and stroke can go back to his or her condition before the attack, most even end up with death. Therefore, it is wiser if we just prevent the attacks by keeping our cholesterol level low.
Usually, doctors will prescribe some medication first for people who already have high cholesterol level to lower their level. However, medication is not a permanent solution. A low cholesterol diet is needed to maintain cholesterol level low. Beside, it is a much healthier method than just taking chemical medication everyday which eventually will result in something not good for our body.
Before practicing low cholesterol diet, we must know that there are two types of cholesterol, good cholesterol or HDL and bad cholesterol or LDL. The foods you need to avoid are the foods which contain LDL. These foods are including saturated fat, lard, greasy sauces, fatty meats, butter, and heavy pastries. On the other hand, dark chocolate and avocado are high in HDL so you may want to increase your consumption of these two foods.
Better act now than it is too late. Get yourself in a low cholesterol diet program and avoid the possibility of sudden death or permanent paralyze.
