High fiber low carb diet has been a trend in dieters for a long time. However, sometimes people following the diet without really understand how it works and how it can benefit them. The common view is that carb is bad and fiber is good. Therefore, they need to avoid carb and consume more fiber just like what high fiber low carb diet offers. This view does not wrong, yet it does not 100% correct. If dieters only base their diet on this assumption, there is possibility that their diet will turn into wrong result.
Fiber is good for dieting people because it is a substance that is hard to digest. Carb, on the other hand, is portrayed as bad in this diet program. While carb does contribute to overweight, it does not entirely bad. Carb is one of important substances in our body and our body needs it as a source of power. If we do not consume enough carb, we will feel lethargic and cranky. So when the diet says “low carb,” it does not mean that dieters need to avoid carb completely just like many dieters tend to do. Our body still needs to get carb in proper amount. What you need to avoid is starchy carb which can be easily stored as fat in our body.
